This may come from photoshoots, tagged user-generated content, or in one client’s case, a set of 40,000+ pieces that they developed for ads. One of the tough questions in a marketer’s job is choosing the best content for each of their audiences. It takes time and is often filled with guesswork, leading to wasted FTE hours and wasted content.

This brand gets tagged in hundreds of user-generated-content posts per week across platforms: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and more. Members of this social media team each spend at least 1.5 hours per week sorting through UGC content, on top of an hour-long weekly all-hands meeting. Because their social media content is 80%+ UGC, this is an important channel. They brought us on to help.
Each week, Viralspace ingests the hundreds of pieces of content that come in from Instagram hashtags, Twitter hashtags, direct messages, and email. We use computer vision to extract objects, emotions, etc. from the photo and surface the top 3 to 50 photos for them each week. That way, this brand can quickly see what UGC is available to repost.
They’ve seen their workflow greatly improve and see the potential to save at least 15 full-time employee hours per week, which equates to at least $3,600 in salary per month, or $43k per year. Posts we recommend also have the potential to earn 28% more likes than their average.
We’re also working with them to create dynamic ad permutations for each of their ad audiences. Based on a library of images and captions (often with slight variations), we create the ideal permutations for each ad audience, greatly reducing the number of permutations to A/B test. We’re still building out the case study for this, but are seeing promising early results as we help this brand boost their ROAS.
